Buttery Gluten Free Biscuits
You only need 4 ingredients to whip up these magical golden biscuits. They get their color from eggs and ghee. They're basically a meal all in themselves!
Have you ever used ghee? It's like butter's health-conscious older brother. It is one of the highest food sources of butyric acid - a short chain fatty acid that helps to nourish the gut and decrease inflammation. It is also a great source of medium and long chain fatty acids and is packed with vitamins A, D, E, and K. .
And best of all, it doesn't have lactose!!!!
Ingredients:
Coconut flour
Ghee
Baking soda
Eggs
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350F
2. Mix together:
1 cup of coconut flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
6 large eggs
1/4 cup melted ghee
3. Form 6-8 biscuits
4. Bake for 20 minutes or until lightly golden
I'm sure that you could substitute out the coconut flour for anything else. However, know that coconut flour is really absorbent, so you will likely need to use more of whatever flour you choose!
